Engagment Party

A couple of weeks ago our friends threw us an engagement party – and it was amazing. Casual with a little wine, a little homemade pizza, some friends, and some cupcakes.

Not to mention the Benton’s house always looks amazing – that girl’s got style!

She went to a local pizza joint and asked for dough rolled out and then she added her own fresh toppings baking them in the oven and of the girll - genius!! I think the fig and pancetta was my fav; at least I think that’s what it was…

She also made us these chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter cream cheese frosting. I died.

It was such a fun night! It was the first time my friends got to meet all of my new friends (Mark’s friends) and everyone got along great!

That's me in the middle with the sparkle on my finger ;)

Friday Letters

Dear Friday: Hello, nice to see you again. This short work week was great for our friendship!

Dear FSU Seminoles: Last night was awesome!! Nothing like a buzzerbeater!!

Dear new Target dress: Love you. Love your chevron.

Dear Tallahassee weather: Keep it up! 70 degrees without a cloud in the sky is perfection. Especially when I think about my brother out at BYU in the ice and cold.

Dear laundry: Go do yourself.

Dear nude nail polish: I’m totally digging you, it’s like you’re not there but still fancy. Thanks Ipsy.

Dear pizza: Gonna tear you up tonight. Mmmmhm.

Dear pinched nerve: Ouches. Anyone have a remedy for a pinched nerve right behind your shoulder blade?

Dear boyfriend: I’m glad you’re feeling better. You’re my best friend and I love our date nights, pillow talks, and just being near you. Lovin' you is fun.

Friday Letters

Dear Friday: Welcome. I’ve missed you dearly. Tonight we will celebrate your return with homemade pizza & a bottle of wine.

Dear NYC: We will see you in 28 days!

Dear weather: 81 degrees? Its February! Weather, you’re drunk!

Dear Seminoles: Scalp ‘em! Basketball game tomorrow!

Dear boss: You were very funny yesterday when I picked you up from your dental surgery – and I am jealous that you have an excuse to drink milkshakes all day.

Dear GlamGrab: LOVE my bracelet! You are the only reason Mondays will now be semi bearable!

Dear tanning bed: Its been a long time since I’ve seen you, and as bad as you are for me, you were amazing this week. If I closed my eyes and concentrated hard enough, I truly felt like I was on the beach, knee deep in the water somewhere… and it was glorious.

Dear sinuses: Thank you for finally getting your game together. That was not a pleasant way to start off the new year and I am happy to be feeling like myself again!

Dear statement pieces & Buffalo Chicken Flatbread,

I just wanted to share some of the 'statement pieces' I've rocked out this week... 'Statement pieces' seem to be all the rage this fall season and I wanted to join in on the fun!

Just a simple hair bow dresses up my 'do
My new monogram necklace from McLaughlinCreations on etsy
my chevron shoes from Forever21

So last weekend, boyfriend and I had pizza almost everyday... To which I said "This is great, I could eat pizza everyday of my life!" And he said "I never want pizza again. We're not having it for 2 weeks." Wah waaah..... Wlep, last night I wanted pizza. So I asked for permission to make Buffalo Chicken Flatbread to fool him... He agreed, he ain't dumb, he knew I what game I was playing... So here is my recipe for the flatbread/pizza buffalo chicken style...

Buffalo Chicken Flatbread/Pizza
Ingrediants
3 chicken fingers chopped up (mine were from the Publix deli)
3 tablespoons melted butter
2 cups shredded mozzerella
1/2 cup gorganzola cheese
1 cup Franks Buffalo Hot Sauce, divided
1/4 cup your favorite pasta sauce
1 pillsbury 'thin crust' pizza dough (over by the bisquits)

Directions
  1. Cook the dough according the the directions (5 min in the over before you add your toppings)
  2. While the dough is pre-baking, mix your chopped chicken, butter, and enough hot sauce to coat
  3. Mix your pasta sauce and the rest of the hotsauce in a seperate bowl
  4. Once your dough is done pre-baking, layer sauce (as much or as little as you like, I did little), mozzerella cheese, chicken, and gorganzolla cheese.
  5. Bake, slice, chow!

Very truly yours, A. Bean
