5 Friday Things

ONE

So get this: On Tuesday during my lunch break I was minding my own business on my way back to the office and BOOM I was hit! I was in the left turn lane when the green left arrow came on so I turned left. BANG The girl next to me wanted to turn left too and ran smack into me. Oh I was one ANGRY Bean, especially when the cop didn’t give her a ticket or citation! Oh well, I am currently waiting on her insurance company to call me to let me know they’ve accepted liability and they will fix my poor Baby! (Yes, my car’s name is Baby. She’s so small you can park her anywhere, like, "You can park Baby in the corner." Get it? Dirty Dancing?)

TWO

We got a new ruuuuug! And I looooove it! Order it from Ballard Designs and its just perfect for what we need. Its an indoor/outdoor so its not the softest of rugs but its easy to keep clean what with the Bo dog and its HUGE so it covers the ugly carpet. Here's a picture of it before we spent 20 min trying to let it out perfectly.

THREE

M.E. is officially officially a Seminole! He started classes this week and I am so very proud of him! Before we know it he’ll be an FSU Alum and our diplomas will be hanging side by side.

FOUR

Next week is a 3 day work with WITH Jason Aldean AND FSU football. I’m pretty dang excited, that’s all I can really say about that. Jason Aldean AND FSU football. Oh yes and Luke Bryan & Thomas Rhett! If you’re in Tallahassee for the concert, holler at me!

FIVE

And I can’t think of a 5^th thing except that its College Colors Day! I bleed Garnet & Gold!

Birthday girls

My birthday is tomorrow! (Also, today is M.E. & I's 1 year and 6 month anniversary! We've been engaged for 6 months!) And in honor of my day of birth, here is a list of everything I expect of a birthday girl:

Birthday girls do not have to work out.

Birthday girls do not count calories.

Birthday girls do not clean the house (unless they really can’t stand the dirty dishes in the sink anymore).

Birthday girls get to eat like pigs for every meal of the day/weekend/week of their birthday.

Birthday girls get to drink like fish.

Birthday girls get presents.

Birthday girls get to justify everything they buy themselves because it’s their birthday.

Birthday girls get cookie cake AND a homemade birthday cake.

Birthday girls don’t care too much about getting older because they look forward to their next birthday and always celebrating with the people they love (and every year after that)!

Dear Friday: Oh hiiiii! So very good to see you! Let's speed things along today because I things to do, people to see!

Dear Maclain: Happy Birthday sweet girl!! Because of M.E. I've made so many new friends and I am so excited to marry into the friend family! You are a great example to me of how to be a home decorator, party planner, loving fur-mama, and supporting wife! Thank you for being such a great friend! I hope today is super special - and I can't wait til tonight!

Dear gym/classes: 3 days this week, 1 day this weekend... including the Crossfit and Abripper class - not bad!! I can tell I'm getting stonger too because I no longer feel like I've been hit by a bus every morning after a workout.

Dear little brother: I'm going to miss you. Very very very much. Don't want to talk too much about it right now because it will make me sad!

Dear sunshine: Get in my skin!!!! Pool time tomorrow hopefully!

Dear birthday: Can't wait to seeeee you! I want my presents... which sounds totally selfish but M.E. is getting me a Polar watch and I can't wait to try it out!

Dear Friday: Oh heeeeey! Its great to see you, as always, but lets be swift this morning and skip right to 5:30, I've got fun things to do! 

Dear Keurig Machine: I am angry at you and M.E. for not having my back this week. Ever since you've come into our home I've slowly become a coffee person. This week, even after my cup of coffee every morning, I've been moving slow and having headaches. Last night M.E. asks why I had bought decaf coffee. "WHAT? Is that what the problem was?! Why didn't you tell me??" Why couldn't there be a thing on the Keurig that says "Btdubs, you know this is decaf right?" and I'd be like "Oh crap, no I didn't! Thanks for the heads up!" Anyway, my sweet fiance left me the last caffeinated coffee cup this morning and today I'm feeling better than ever!

Dear Bo dog: Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you! The vet says you've lost 24 lbs since you're last visit! Now if only you could teach us your weight-loss tricks...

Dear Ikat 'dress: I love you. I bought you as a bathing suit cover-up because I loved your pattern and I sewed up your sides to make you more modest (the slits up to my hips would not have been office appropriate). Now every time I wear you I get compliments and I am so proud of myself!

Dear Memorial Day: Thank you for providing us with this 3 day weekend of glorious beach time. Its a weekend away with the boys but that's ok because all I need is the sun and my books and some dranks, oh and Matty's grilling skills. Definitely looking forward to seeing Chef Matt in action!

Dear followers: To you newbies, hello! Thanks for following! To my oldies, thanks for sticking with me! Have you noticed how I've been trying to post more? I'm also going to try to post more pictures for you because, let's be honest, pictures are way more fun to stalk than reading my letters......

Dear body: As you know, we received Insanity's Fast & Furious workout DVD in the mail the other day. Although we had plans to do the workout last night, changing into my workout clothes and everything, I ended up just sitting and watching the DVD. I had to know what I was getting myself into right? Apparently I'm getting myself into a lot of sweat. Send me motivation please.

Dear movie theater: I feel like I write you a letter almost every Friday with false promises! Last weekend Gatsby was the plan... didn't happen. Tonight M.E. and I promise to come visit, although we haven't made a choice on which movie yet... Great Gatsby, Iron Man 3, or Star Trek?!

Dear sunshine: Stick around, I would like to bask in your light by the pool tomorrow afternoon. Totes in need of some vitamin D.

Dear maxis: As in maxi dresses and maxi skirts you weirdos... I would like several more of you to join my closet. I'm rocking one today, see?

Dear Glee: I was very disappointed in your season finale last night. Honestly, it wasn't anything to write home about. Although I did enjoy seeing Kate Hudson and watching her sing and dance again.

Dear Weekend: Welcome! It’s so good to see you again!

Dear McDonalds: I thought I would treat myself to your new egg whites, alas, the drive thru lady mixed up my order and I paid $2.50 for a bag of breakfast that would feed a small country. And there weren’t no egg whites in that bag!

Dear Weather: Rain rain go away, come again maybe Monday… We have tickets to the FSU v. UCF baseball game tonight – and baseball isn’t fun in the rain!

Dear friend Lori: So excited for my terrarium you’re building me! Its gonna look awesome on our new mantel.

Dear house: Btw, you’re getting a new mantel and a fresh coat of paint this weekend! I convinced M.E. and Bo that the house needed a little redecorating via a Pinterest board called Ideas to Convince M.E. Men are such visual learners ;)

Dear fiancé: Thank you in advance for putting up with my DIY’s this weekend. I’m going to miss you next weekend while you're away for Nav's Bachelor Party, but I am expecting a present from NOLA.

Dear Cinco de Mayo: I’m a little irritated at you, being on a Sunday and all… But not irritated enough not to celebrate!

Dear Friday: Thanks for showing your face, I feel like you came early! This week flew by! 

To my dear friends: I am so very sorry for your loss, our loss. My insides continue to ache when I think of your little family having to go through this tragedy. I wish it wasn’t real life because it is unfair. No one deserves to lose a child, especially such a sweet, young, and innocent sweet girl. I want to say so many things but I am at a loss of words. I continue to send love and strength and prayers to you and your families.
